# Quick Start

Quick Start is a guided walkthrough that runs a real, pre-configured search using curated example data, so a new Analyst can see meaningful results without configuring a search from scratch.

## Launching Quick Start

Quick Start opens automatically the first time an Analyst logs in. It can be dismissed and relaunched at any time by selecting the **wand icon** at the top of the page.

## Choosing a Scenario

Quick Start ships with a small set of pre-canned scenarios, each built around a real search: a scenario name, curated reference images, a preset area of interest, time range, and detector.

Select a scenario to get a guided, end-to-end search with meaningful results out of the box.

## Walking Through the Steps

After choosing a scenario, Quick Start steps through the same fields used in a standard search — see **Running Your First Search** for what each of these means in more detail:

1. **Reference Images** — Quick Start pre-selects curated example images as seeds for the scenario. The Analyst can review and confirm the selection.
2. **Area of Interest** — the search will be limited to the area shown on the map for this scenario. This can be adjusted on the main map after the scenario runs.
3. **Time Range** — the preset Start Date and End Date the scenario will search within.
4. **Detector** — the Detector this scenario was authored for. It's pre-selected and tells RAIC Fed which model to apply to the search.

## Running the Scenario

The final step summarizes the full configuration: scenario, number of reference images selected, area of interest, time range, and Detector.

Select **Run Scenario** to proceed. Quick Start uploads the reference images, runs the search, and redirects to the Search History where the search is in progress.

Already familiar with RAIC Fed? Select **Search Your Own Data** from this same screen to skip Quick Start and go directly to a standard search with your own imagery and reference images.

## What's Next

Once the scenario search completes, results display the same way as any other search. See **Reading Your Search Results** to learn how to interpret and act on what RAIC Fed surfaces.
