# Foundry API

The Foundry API is the platform's primary backend API, providing REST endpoints for managing imagery ingests, running and querying ML inference runs, managing detection models and taxonomies, and performing similarity searches over embeddings.

Used by integrators to automate ingest pipelines, search, trigger inference, and manage models and taxonomy programmatically.
