# Searching video
## Overview
RAIC Fed does not natively ingest video files. Before video can be searched in RAIC Fed, it must first be processed outside the platform into individual geo-referenced .tif frames.

This guide picks up **after** that conversion is complete. It does not cover converting a video file into .tif frames.

Video frames are currently ingested by the RAIC team, so this guide starts at search. Once frames are in RAIC Fed, the workflow is the same as any other imagery: search, add to taxonomy, and export.
## Required File Type
RAIC Fed accepts geo .tif files. Video frames must meet the same requirement: each frame is delivered as an individual, geo-referenced .tif file rather than a single video file.
Frames are typically sourced from a video file containing MISB ST 0601 metadata (the standard that encodes drone/UAS telemetry such as position, sensor orientation, and frame geolocation alongside the video). That metadata is what makes it possible to geo-reference each extracted frame.
## Searching Video Frame Detections
Searching video-derived frames follows the same steps as any other RAIC Fed search. See **Running Your First Search** and **Reading Search Results** for the full workflow.
To narrow your results to video detections, select the **Video - General** Detector when running your search.
## Adding Detections to a Taxonomy Category
Use the **Context Map** to review Detector results and add them to a Taxonomy category, following the same steps as **Managing Taxonomy**.
